Specifically designed for The Clemente Center at Florida Institute of Technology
Purpose
The Clemente Center at Florida Tech is the on-campus Sport and Recreation Center. The Center is adjoined to the Panther Aquatic Center, the campus outdoor swimming facility.
Memberships are available for students, faculty, staff and affiliated persons of Florida Institute of Technology, however many are not aware of the facilities on offer.

We propose a mobile application to encourage the younger generation to get involved and get active.

Current System
Possible gym users lack awareness of opening hours, group fitness classes and facilities offered
Staff spend time answering simple questions about hours, schedules, events and court availability
Athletics and other events at the center suffer low attendance from lack of advertisement
Members arrive to the gym hoping to play basketball or badminton but are turned away due to no court availability
Goals and Motivation
Encourage the younger generation to get excited about fitness at Florida Tech
Create iOS and Android mobile application to address the issues in the current system:
Important information can be retrieved at the click of a few buttons
Daily opening hours are easily accessible
Group fitness class schedule is publicized and maintained, to encourage involvement
Students are made aware of range of facilities and equipment on offer to them at no cost
Events are advertised to increase attendance numbers
Court availability and predicted gym usage is clear to users planning their workout time
Racquetball court reservations can be made through the application
